Project description: Legal advisory services in the sale of a shopping centre with a leased space of approx. 28,000 square metres to an external investor. The advisory services encompassed the comprehensive support of the whole transaction, in particular, the representation of the seller in the negotiations with the buyer, as well as the preparation of a concept and the introduction of corporate restructuring for the seller for the purposes of the transaction. The transaction value was approximately €70 million. Expert’s view: ‘On a saturated market of advisory services, success is assured by addressing customer expectations through the provision of comprehensive legal and tax support of the whole process under one roof. In such a case, just as in other projects we have implemented for the real property sector, we have been working with Crido Taxand’s tax advisers, who were responsible for the tax structure of the transaction. Our close cooperation, the synergy between the departments and the experience in implementing projects of this type meant that the burden of coordinating advisers was removed from the client so that he could focus better on the business aspects of the transaction,’ says Jakub Ziółek.
